Cabin Filter Location

"Perhaps this applies to your market but the in-cabin filter should appear on early sedans and wagons with 4-zone AC. Later on this was removed and a combination filter, instead of a dust filter only, does the job now. The dust/combination filter is at the engine bay." ..... so what are you adding here?
I will clairfy.. the 05 wagon has only one filter under the hood..(though, I am sure that it applies to other cars on both sides of the year) the 05 sedans have two filters.. haven't checked later models.. as I do not have one of those!my car has the 4 zone AC....it is a wagon.. and current....if the 4 zone aspect is the variable (and it could very well be).. then so be it.. but I think it is more the wagon and not the 4 zone stuff... I just want to alert people with wagons that they should be very careful checking about fitment before they invest in parts off of ebay.. simpy a courtesy

A 2005 Sedan may not have two filters which is what you seem to claim! Your 2005 sedan may have two filters but that does not mean all would have. Certain Wagons have two filters, not sure if any on the US market.
See here for example:

I stand corrected... not all sedans have two filters.
again.... I was simply alerting people that they should be careful about preordering filters and then finding out that their car is not equipped with both filters (as one sometimes does when seeing parts on eBay as a lot of people do).... adding to that.. I haven't ever seen a part number for a in cabin filter for a US 2005 or similar series wagon...(does your schematic indicate the year of the car? it looks to be 1983)... I also had been told that wagons do not have the in cabin filter by a parts person at a MB dealership (he could have been new or just ignorant)
anyway... please accept my apology for not being as specific.
. that previous post was very accurate and informative ... (it was posted later in the year 11-13-2007 +/- than when I had replaced my filter)

Where did you pick the 1983 date?
