iPod de-integration?
Hello, posters. Does anyone know, off-hand, if the "iPod integration Kit", which is an option that was installed on my 2008 E550, can be "de-integrated", leaving the mini-plug that accesses the stereo functional?
I'd love to be able to enter into the headunit via the mini-plug in the glove box, but, it seems that it doesn't work because the iPod dongle is there.
Just curious if that can be removed and the unit be restored to its initial state, that is, with a mini-plug stereo input jack that works to send sound from the headphone jack of a computer or any other sort of mp3 device to the COMAND audio unit.
