My E-500 was delivered to me with the wood steering wheel installed. The dealer had ordered it separately and got it before the car was built and delivered. I whined until they held it for me and installed it when the car was delivered.
For anyone who is still waiting for the wood wheel, it is one of the best parts of the new E. I love it. It feels wonderful and looks like a luxury car should and completes the interior of the car.
If you haven't ordered yet...include the wood wheel. If you are waiting....it is worth the wait.

I agree. The wheel is one thing you are constantly in touch with. Great looks, good feel, complements the dash wood and livens the front.
