Fender Bender - Minor - Opinions Wanted
Will it finally happened, pulling out of Starbucks this morning, cut to close and lightly caught another car.
It looked much worse, i buffed as much out as I could, but the remaining marks are deep into the plastic white trim and the silver trim is also damaged (ripples).
Does anyone know if that trim (white) and the silver trim is easily replaced? Or should I get it re-painted at a body shop.

I had that happen to my 3 series rear bumper and had a mobile repair service come to my home and sand it and resprayed for 200.00 bucks. Couldn't even tell the difference afterwards. The silver trim on your merceds is 49.95 from mercedes part only. The part number is 211-885-28-21 and is called a garnish moulding. Very easy to install takes less then 2 minutes to take off old one and just snap in new one. To take off old one you need a flat head screwdriver and very steady hands to pry off old moulding from the end and that is it. As for the bumper I would call around the mobile bumper repair service and ask for quotes. My 3 series bumper was a lot worst in damage and it came out perfect. Good luck.

Simple to replace. That entire piece is called the "impact strip". You can order a new one, complete with the chrome cheap, probably under $150. Since you are doing this, consider going with "Euro Impact Strips" which don't have the orange side marker.
