Protective Film on Headlights?

Our E350 wagon should be arriving at the dealership today or tomorrow. I was wondering if anyone has installed clear protective film on their headlights or foglights. Our car will have bi-xenons. Any thoughts? Anyone know where I can buy a pre-cut kit to install myself?

I have them on all my lens in the front of the car. I also have a clear bra, but I decided to get the thicker film for the headlights. I purchased mine pre-cut at performanceproducts.com. I have the bi-xenon too and after 35,000 miles of Colorado driving they are holding up very well. I strongly recommend them!

The performanceproducts website didn't specify if the price included the lower turn light units, the clearbra site did include 4 individual pieces for the lights up top and 2 for down below. I have already replaced 1 of my turn lights at a cost of some $110 if I recall. $51 or so would be a small price to pay, if they work as advertised. Any trick to install these?

I imagine that you are calling the fog light that turns on the newer Es when you also turn a "turn light?" Anyway, call performance products and ask them, just to make sure. My lower fog lights are part of the kit I purchased. The only trick is to clean the lens with alcohol to make sure it is a clean surface.

My passenger side fog light got hit by such a bid rock that it broke loose the cap that covers the H7 light bulb. The lens and the housing were not damaged though. MB paid for the repair under warranty since it looked as if the inside cap just came loose. Either way, the thicker protective plastic did its job very well and I am happy.

They have instructions on the web site. Thanks for the replies.
