Very hot front fenders!!!

Yesterday I went for a ride here in napa, pretty warm around 90 F. When I got back home In the garage, I felt with my hand the paint in diferents area of the car, just to see how hot it got, the car overall was pretty cool, but the two front fenders above the wheel, almost by the front light's, felt very hot, I mean Very Hot. I have Xenon lights and have them on day time mode. Do you guy's think that's where this mayor heat is coming from?
Please advise.

DAMN!

I thought for sure I was gonna see pics of Lorinsor fenders on your car. What a jip!

Sorry, I have no useful input for your problem.

What's your average temperature reading?

I've been getting a similar problem. When I sit at the stop light the temperature increase to a few bars. The car is at normal operating temperature when it is at 80 degrees but it goes up when I'm still feels as if the car is overheating.

^^^^ Normal thing. While driving your car is getting fresh air forced into its cooling system, but once you stop it isn't so the temp will move a few degrees (it shouldn't spike eratically) until the ECU decides that the engine needs more coolant then it should come back down. Your car isn't overheating it is merely regulating it own temperature. This is why a lot of old timers used to say let your car run for 2-3 mintues before shutting it off after a hard drive, but modern engineering has obliterated that old notion.

As for the fenders being hot, on a 90' degree day what do you expect? You're driving a car with a V8 on a hot day, heat is coming from everywhere under there and the fenders and everything else is going to get hot. Unless your temp is running hot this is just normal.

You guy's don't understand, I explain well that all the cars was cool including the hood, the only extremely hot areas where the front fenders, by the lights.
I really think that it has to be a relation with the Xenon light's in use during hot day's. please correct me if am wrong.

There is insulation under the aluminum hood that helps keep it cooler than the fenders. I don't have DRL and my fenders get the heat from the radiator and exhaust manifolds.
