Do you know if it can be retrofitted to work on the 04 E? I absolutely hate the puck antenna they are putting on the back trunk lids these days, so I won't even get SAT because of that. If they can incorporate it into the new combo antenna style, I will get it.

One can install the Puck antenna under the rear hat shelf with perfect results
Its been done several times on early W211s

Since the original sits on your rear window and he's proposing the hat shelf, you can assume not.
The 2007 antenna is roof mounted. The previous blade antennas are glass mounted.
You're pretty much limited to the trunk or the hat shelf idea.
