Blue look for non-Xenon
I read somewhere that the non-Xenon E-class also emits a bluish colour - and not the normal yellowish colour - is that true??

Blue bulbs
bmms8: Use some caution on the blue bulbs, since they are simply displaying the blue spectrum and may actually reduce your available light output compared to a white regular halogen bulb. The old MBCA list had a college physics teacher member who tested them some time ago and reported (with the bulbs at the time) you actually reduced useable output. Try to get some tech sheets on your white versus a blue to compare, first. As I understand it, the xenon source looks blue to the eye but is actually a pure white. The blue bulbs are simply that--they look blue.
I have been told my "regular" halogens on a previous E and C had a bluish look compared to other oncoming cars, but I haven't noticed and I have not opted for xenons as yet on a car.

Itīs a blue turn signal lamp. If you turn on your turn signal, the blub will shine yellow.

One night I was in front of a New E-Class which had an output color similar to That Audi Purple what is the output rating to get that purple color? Can the new E-Class be changed to have this look?

merc, I purchased the Osram front turn signal bulbs from a vendor in the US. I ordered style 1156 per the manual on replacement bulbs however they came with different "nibs" on the based than the ones I took out on my 2003 e320 (the standard bulb that came on the car had nibs directly across from each other, the Osram bulbs they sent me had the nibs offset). I called the vendor and was told to "file down" one of the nibs. I think I'm getting yanked here... Did you have to do this? Do you have a specific model number of the ones you ordered? Source? Thanks.
