07' E550 Engine Temperture and Keyless Go issue.

Hi guys, This is my first time here, I have searched a little about the topics I wanted to know but none really answer my questions, so I would appreciated if anyone can shed any lights on my two issues.

Is it normal for the temperture gauge to rise about half on the indicator? Because normally the gauge would only go slightly higher than 80C, but today I actually noticed the the gauge go one bar higher, almost to the half point. I am not sure if this is normal at all, considering the outside temperture is barely at 85-90F today and the car milage is only about 12k.

One more question, both me and my wife carries the keyless go keys on us everyday, and today I ask unlock the door and start the car, and the key wouldn't unlock the outside door not to mention start the car. She can still does everything manually i.e. using the remote to unlock the car and once she unlock the car, she can then lock the door and unlock the door again with keyless go, and after we both get out of the car, the keyless feature would go dead on her again. Do I need to replace the battery on her remote? or because we both carries the keyless remote inside the car most of the times?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Excellent observation on your part! I will say my '05 E500 runs @ 80 but the '08 E350 loaner (with 2K!!) I rec'd ran one bar higher also.

I would imagine this is considered "nomal operating status". You can actually ck. your owners manual. Hope this helped somewhat....

1. Operating Temp is completely normal for what you experienced. I wont even tell you what my CLS 55 runs at lol.
2. Replace the batteries in her key and see if that fixes the problem. I had this happen to me on the E55 back when I had that car, and the dealer found the key had to be replaced. But check batteries first. Its a good thing your car is still under warranty as I presume it to be.
