E63 mufflers on a non-AMG W211?

I know that the E55 mufflers will fit on our cars, but will the E63 mufflers/tips fit without any modification?

Thanks

Without any mods...I highly doubt it.

What type of mods would be needed?

It's the same exhaust from Mufflers to tips. No modifications needed besides the cutting and welding of the exhaust when you put it on.

Sweet. I don't mind new welds. I just wanted to make sure the E63 muffler itself isn't too big to fit in place of a non-AMG muffler

So did you do this mod and if so, how'd it turn out...? I'm assuming you were going for the look ( tips ) as well as some improved exhaust note... How's it sound...?

For those who upgraded, did you notice a difference in the sound? Drone?

I upgraded to the E55 exhaust, not E63 and there was a slightly deeper tone to it. However, at wide open throttle, it sounds much better than the stock exhaust. No droning with these but I had really bad droning with the set of Magnaflows I had on it.

I did the same upgrading to an E55 Exhaust. I didn't expect a huge growl since I only have an e350 so it had a nice hum to it at first. Then I decided to remove the resonator and it sounds 100% better than it did with the resonator on. No drone at all, but a nice growl when accelerating.

can I add mufflers from an 2008 E63 w211 on a 2009 E class 350 (W211) with the resonator already deleted and replaced with an X pipe and get the same sound of an 2008 E63 W211 ?
