Got it lowered yesterday... just a wee bit

Good day at the office... dropped my car off at one of the local MB tuners and worked a 1/2 day at Starbucks.

Definitly not as low as some of the others on here... I'm already waiting for comments to lower it lol.

Next is a body kit but need t figure out what to get... Wald/Brabus/AMG E55/E63?

Looks like a good driveable height. Which method did you use to lower it?

You would hit your head to the roof if you had lowered it more.

I don't like cars that are lowered a lot, this is still OK for my taste, specifically with those wheels and tyres.

Wow your car looks really clean, I also like the e63 body kit ftw. The lowering looks like a good height, not to much not to little.

I was wondering what the final specs on the wheels and tires you used were.
Also was wondering if you got your wheels on the internet or from the dealer.

Thanks

John

Hey guys, thanks for the comments:
I used drop links to lower... I had the option of using STAR and save a few hun but I was told that it could potentially void any remaining warranty I have left and I never have to worry about dropping it off for service and coming back a 4x4!

Wheels are AMG style III 19x8.5/9.5 et 25 front, 28 rear. I have 245/35/19's and 275/30/19's. Judging by how it looks, I still think i'm going to rub in the rear a little bit... I'm okay with it though as I don't like the look of the 265's on a 9.5" rim.

I bought the wheels locally off a guy that had them on his CLS500. It seems most can get a 20% discount from their local MB dealer. The part numbers are floating around on the forum.

You'll also notice that the rear wheels are very concave... you can get the exact same wheels with the et 30/31 but I was told you don't get the sweet look in the rear. It's a compromise I suppose...

E63 - ugh man... mpx, you're the reason i wanted the the kit!!

that really is a perfect ride height... very drivable... looks good

Aero kits wise, it really depends on what style you want. If you want to replace your entire bumper, you can go with the Brabus or AMG. But if you want to keep your original bumper, i would go with Wald or even the Carlsson one...

PM me for special MB World Pricing

Brabus

WALD

Carlsson

PM me if you have any questions...

Looks great, cars dont have to be slammed to look good, actually, outside of car shows and meet parking lots, I dont really care for that look. The perfect height I think is a gap 1/2 the height of your tire.

Enjoy it, looks perfect.

With MB, I've always found the OEM AMG kits to be the best looking. You can always be different and get something else but why? The one looking at the car the most is you and it should visually satisfy you. If you like one the other kits, then obviously you should go for that kit.
