Question removing resonator on E320

Hi All,

Just been reading a few posts about the removal of the resonator and everyone seems positive about it but was wondering would it make any difference to an e320 with factory fitted amg exhaust system or should i just leave it as it is. Thanks.

It will be a lot louder, and you might loose some bottom end torque because of back pressure being reduced.

Has anyone on an e320 or e350 had this done and what affects did you have. Was there any issue with the back pressure?

How much does it cost?? Would the dealer find out if I returned the car from a lease?

When you remove the resonator do you just put in a straight pipe or is there anything in particular you put in place?

Not sure. You might want to PM mpx220. I heard it because he's local to me. I got to hear it in person

Will do. I have read a bit on the x pipe and alot of members recommend having it fitted in place of straight pipes. can someone tell me where i can purchase x pipe for quad e55 amg exhaust setup. If anyone has any thoughts about this feel free to comment.

sef, check out the W211 AMG forum. They seem to mod their exhausts a lot more than we do!
