NAV LCD damaged

I ordered the nushield dayview product. (Note: you can find 10% discount coupons online)
The sticky side goes towards the screen (obviously) and I started installation from the left side of the LCD screen. Two or three times after installing about one inch (or so) I had to pull it off the LCD to get it to line up properly. Because I had to do that the adhesive on the left side became weak and no longer sticks properly. It is cut to the EXACT size so if you don't line it up exactly, it will not lay flat at the edges. (they should have cut it a hair small.) I would recommend that when installing you start from the top and work down. A few small bubbles (not dirt) worked themselves out after a few days. It is very easy to get a piece of dirt on the adhesive and it is impossible to remove it.
After installation the left side doesn't stick and the right bottom corner won't stick. Driving around during the day wearing polarized sunglasses the nushield causes a moire pattern on the screen. Looks like crap. I hate it.
IMHO: The dayvue is best installed on screens where the unit can be removed from the car and the bezel can be taken off.
I have installed a bunch of invisible shield products - they can be moved during installation and look very good when done. Note: the invisibleshield is not antireflective but about the same price. Once you remove the rest of the factory applied LCD antiglare coating (as I did) you feel obligated to put something on.
I will be ordering the invisbleshield and getting rid of the dayvue.

I had no problem installing and positioning the dayvue shield, I was careful and lucky I guess. BUT, I also hate the moire pattern effect when wearing polarized sunglasses. I never noticed that until I switched to white COMAND display background, I always had that set on dark blue. Now it bothers me so much that I want to switch to another product.
I don't know how fitting a larger piece would be possible without removing the display bazel. Any ideas how to disassemble the front of the COMAND unit?

If you have a bubble use a pin to put a pin hole in the center of the bubble then try to reseat the film and compress the bubble allowing the air to exit the pin hole. Works every time I put a cover on an airplane with same type material.

I wasn't happy with the dayvue either.. So I got the other style which is selectable when you chose 07 models and up. It doesn't have a sticky side since it is bigger than the screen, and instead fits in between the screen and the bezel.
One of the posts above speaks of this particular one.

I am really impressed with the level of support received from the NuShield folks. I've expressed my dissatisfaction with the DayVue protector (moire pattern effect) and the are going to replace it (free of charge) with the original film protector. Nice work.
I will report back on the quality of the new shield.

2007 E350 P2 Package with Paranomic
Many Thanks to user ==> suretytek... I have fixed my navigation LCD screen scratches without spending top $ to replace it. It came out like a brand new (actually looks better than brand new after placing the Invisible Shield). Thanks again.

Thank you to all on this forum. I used Meguiar's PlastX and it was fantastic, the remaining anti-glare coating came off easily.
The screen looks like new and I'm debating even putting a screen protector on it.
