The de-badge has to be one of the most impactful, easy (and no cost) mods!
Im really enjoying the clean look it provides the back. Im thinking of doing the
other low cost mod of the flat badge to give a clean and spartan look to the front hood. The nice thing is that you can easily switch back to the
3 star ornament depending on your mood.

The wood wheel would be great but gotta work on getting some new tires
for now-

Any suggestions on good, inexpensive tires, ie. more competively priced than Michelin PS2s?
Im considering Bridgestone RE 960 AS which we had on our BMW E46 and was pleased with them. Ive received some suggestions on the Falken FK452? Any suggestions would be appreciated!
I have a flat star badge if you want one. Are you in the bay area? $20. It looks like this

THE most useful "mod." Visor airbag stickers should be next for me, then the crappy-dealer ad debadged from the rear.

the car looks outstanding, great choice of mods... i would go with clear corners instead of euro strips, it keeps it subtle and OEM-ish (where as the euro strips are more expensive and it doesnt stand out... only a mercedes enthusiast would notice that)... and not to mess your sale with tbone, but i would look into buying a flat white star from dfwdude (or something like that, i forget his screen name)... initially i bought that plastic one and it just looks cheap (way too cheap to put on your car) and ended up ordering the other one (although more expensive, it's really worth it and the quality is very noticeable)...

Enrico - It was great meeting and chatting with you today! I still think you should go for the "mild" drop. Your car would look killer. Just ask for Rick if you take your car in for service at MB Pleasanton

Does your car have springs or airmatic? At least for my model year, the V6 sport packages came with airmatic

Likewise and absolute pleasure meeting! Thanks for the deal on the flat badge-I'll try it on this weekend. Those DFW smaller badges are really nice- perhaps consider purchase of one at a later time but for now this one should be fine. Thanks also for the leads and info with Sonic MS!

Hey, I was heading to Hacienda Center/ Mimi's Cafe on Dublin Bl. last nite and drove along a nice silver E with a "mbonline" sticker on the back window. I thought it was you but I remembered yours is a 500 and I believe this was badged "350".

Look forward to new pics of your car!

That car must be "No Wur E"s car. LOL. He lives in San Ramon, too. I met him yesterday at Sonic. Yes, I have a 500, but debadged. Enjoy your star! It took me 5 years to "commit" to paying that much money for a DFW star

LOL. I used to live in Dublin, 5 minutes from the Hacienda shopping area. I still visit family there from time to time.

Ahhh yes-it was definitely "No Wur E"s!

Thanks for jogging the memory! I was trying to remember the vanity plate but my mind must have been on food

BTW- found myself in Dublin again this AM. I threw down more $$$ on some new "shoes"- Goodyear F1 Eagle tires at Americas Tire Co. Nothing like the feel of new rubber

The airmatic drop mod will defintely have to wait

Does someone have a link to this? I googled 211-683-00-51 and got nothing but this thread. At least we know the google spider has been here.

Anyway, taking the ashtray out was one of the firth things I did when I bought my E350, and it works great for holding my blackberry, but if there is something to insert in that spot it sounds worth looking into.

On that topic, is there a low profile cig lighter phone recharger that can go in that spot and still allow the little covering or door to be closed? The one I have projects out too far, which makes it impossible to shut the "former" ashtray area.

Hmm dunno- I would think I have springs. It doesnt lower up and down like my buddies cl 550, it just has "sport" and "comfort" modes.
