Mild mods
Just some simple mods to a CPO'd E320 I purchased in March but enough to put a dent in the wallet for now
...
I'll still need to cash in some food stamps and will hopefully fit some new tires in the budget next month
Before:

After:

...- Tint- 20% rear window, 35% sides
- Clear bra
- 18" AMG Dbl Spoke rims purchased from a fellow forum member
- De badged the trunk

I do have the airmatic due to the sport package.
Xzibit is correct though-wife would not likely be in favor of the drop

...I put the airmatic at the low setting and she noticed bumpier ride right away and was not too excited about it.
Gotta admit, I like the middle setting myself - for you young guys
the stiffer suspension may be ok but when you get to be an ol' fut like me
you'll want a little more lounge chair ride
Thanks again guys for the suggestions...this mod stuff is the "devil"

Ahhh...great info Tbone! OK, I'll add the $200 airmatic drop mod (by Sonic MS?)back on to the TBD list
Re: Response to Asian ML- the color is "Tectite Grey".
Uh-oh... pardon my newbie-ness- just Googled to see that Sonic MS is fairly nearby in my ol' stompin' grounds- Santa Clara CA. a short 30 mile drive away
Have they a showroom??? Do I dare even check out their shop and further lead me into mod temptation???

enrico - Sonic moved. They're no longer in Santa Clara. now in a bigger shop in Mountain View. 1045 El Camino Real.
You will like the drop. The good thing about the airmatic is that when you lower it, it is still pretty comfortable. Lowering a car on springs the same amount - it will feel a bit harsher than the airmatic.

Looks very nice. I've been debating to debadge mine as well. If I may add, I would recommend getting the wood steering wheel, especially since you have the black wood inside. It may not change anything on the exterior, but the whole cabin just looks different. Enjoy

The de-badge has to be one of the most impactful, easy (and no cost) mods!
Im really enjoying the clean look it provides the back. Im thinking of doing the
other low cost mod of the flat badge to give a clean and spartan look to the front hood. The nice thing is that you can easily switch back to the
3 star ornament depending on your mood.
The wood wheel would be great but gotta work on getting some new tires
for now-
Any suggestions on good, inexpensive tires, ie. more competively priced than Michelin PS2s?
Im considering Bridgestone RE 960 AS which we had on our BMW E46 and was pleased with them. Ive received some suggestions on the Falken FK452? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Finally, in the low-cost mod department, I removed the tether from my gas cap so that a gas station attendant (yes, we still have those around here) doesn't drop the gas cap onto your fender and leave a ding or scratch.
