I'm thinking about getting this done, however I have on idea on how easy/hard it would be and how much I'd spend on having it done at an Audio shop. Any advice?

Actually there are numerous threads on this subject matter. In short (for your MY): US = no, EURO = yes

You will need to purchase a Euro COMAND unit to get this capability. Your COMAND can read DVD media, but will not play back video because of the lack of a video decoder. You can put 8.4GB of MP3s on there and play that back though, which is nice.

Euro COMAND has cell phone sync issues, AM tuning increment issues, no SAT radio, and no Weatherband in Euro mode, but gains RDS (call letters for FM stations, etc.), and DVD video. You can put it in US mode and fix most of the issues above, but it takes about 2 minutes with the car off to change modes.

Ah, interesting. Any advice on where to take it to get this done and how much I should spend?

I tried a search but perhaps used a wrong word to search, I'll try again.

From what I've been told you have to purchase a EURO COMMAND UNIT. Meaning the entire EURO nav unit. A complete replacement of the NAV unit you have now I tired LOL

Wow, that sounds expensive. I was hoping I could walk into some Audio shop and have them rewire something simple for a few hundred bucks, haha.
