I stopped by the dealership after work for a part (someone stole the wiper off my truck's rear windshield, can you believe it!!!). Anyway, there was an '09 ML on the lot so I asked a salesman if we could pair my iPhone to see if the address book downloads.

Guess what? IT DOES!!!!!! I assume the system is the same on the E-Class. Let the retrofitting begin!!!!

Feel free to ask him but I'm afraid he is busy with the installations inspired by the California law change on HF in a car. I'm sure Steve and others will inform us anyway when they are ready. On another thread I already saw the first views from him on this.

I asked rob about this and he says thats not the case..

any W211, any W164 ML, any X164 GL... not only can they do it but he said that they are developing DIY kits to do the swap.

I do not like 09 UI, a but cumbersome. Anyway, iPod works nicely, no problem with paring phones and loading contacts.
