Cost of the E service

My 2007 E550 has about 22,000 miles on it and the FSS says it needs an E service. What has anyone paid to have this done either at a dealer or an independent shop.

Thanks

I'm guessing around $450. I have a service pricing sheet from MB of Escondido. I could tell you more acurately if you knew what codes it it showing. There a thread in here that will tell you how to look up the FSS codes if your interested.

You will not need service E for a car with 22K miles. I'm sure your dealer will tell you the same.....Search this forum on how to determine what specifics your car needs. Its probably Serv. B. I had a "serv F" code with 32K, saying I needed spark plugs, fuel filter, etc... Things which are not due until 60K or higher. Dealer said to disregared the message, and said I needed a Serv. B. which I cross-referenced with my maint. manual. Also, don't forget to ck. your maintenance manual. That tells you what you need at mileage/year intervals.
