Who am I kidding? Those that know me, know that I'll never stop modding. I'm thinking about putting some coilovers on the baby's stroller now!

It was lowered via SDS at my dealer. I'll end up popping a RENNtech ELM on it eventually.
Hopefully, I'll have some better pics soon. The car was selected to be shown with a few of the Washington Redskin's cars at a charity event next weekend. My camera skills stink, and I only have a point and shoot. I would think there would be a pro photographer there. We'll see.

yeah....that was special ordered that way by "someone." They usually come w/ a long 90" bent valve stem which normally takes the place of a rivet.....but the tucked away look is something that I've been recently doing.

As for the question of the ride...
Anytime you lower a vehicle, no matter if it has air suspension or conventional springs, the ride will stiffen. Add to that 19" or 20" wheels and it stiffens even more. My car is no exception. The ride is much harsher than the stock 17's at normal ride height but by no means is it completely unbearable. You get used to it. However, everytime I drive my wife's stock R500, I'm treated to a luxurious ride that my E just doesn't have anymore. But you can't deny how good these cars look with a large set of wheels and a drop.

I would say at least try it. These cars with airmatic are so cheap to lower and it's completely reversible if you don't like it. Hell, you can at least do the washer method lowering for a quick test drive and it will only cost you $0.98 and and 45 minutes of your time.

Very nice man. Those Side Skirts aren't AMG? Those are the same skirts my AMG package has. Although I did notice the E55's do have a slightly more aggressive skirt, funny AMG would equip the AMG package cars with the same bumpers but a "lighter" modified side skirt.

just remember your risk of a failure in the airmatic system increases with the washer method since you are fooling the computer and are screwing with the damping rate. A lot of E55 guys have had failures. Better to simply lower the electrical values in SDS and let the computer deal with damping, dive, squat and other ****.

Clayton - did you ever call Jesse about the side skirts?
