Cornering lights error after navigation install

With help from Steph280's great install procedures, I got my navigation unit installed. While I was had all those panels off, I installed the ipod kit as well. Everything works great, BUT I have now the error code: Cornering lights.

During the procedures I dis & reconnected the battery twice - could that have messed up something?

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks,

treddel

A stupid question, is it about the 2004 car, did cornering lights come already by then, does the car have cornering lights. It could be just a version coding error along with the Navigation activation.

Since you don't mention this, I assume the car does have cornering lights. I guess the CAN-bus is pretty much the only common one with the Comand/Navigation? If you don't get other issues, you should not have messed the CAN bus connectors to Comand.

Do the lights work otherwise, like vertical adjustment (at startup if it is Xenons with self-levelling), what about the cornering lights feature itself?

Perhaps it is just a co-incidence?

Just drive the car for a spin, it will all go away. I've come across the same message whenever I've disconnected the battery.

Thanks guys,

Indeed the message is gone, and everything works as it should.

Turned my car off at school once and the message came up. Never came up since and nothing wrong, . Next time I go to the dealer I'm gonna still mention it to them.

OK since you disconnected the battery, the steering wheel angle sensor needs to be normalised. Didn't you get any other error messages, ESP should need this sensor too?

Cornering lights anyway need the steering info and if the light came after the battery was removed and went once you turned steering lock-to-lock a few times, it should fix this. If this was about the case, I would not be worried.
