'97K on my '04 E500...Only major repairs (i.e. requiring more than a day of downtime) in the last 3 years have been replacing the ball joints at 60K and 88K, the power steering pump at 88K, the SBC brake pump (under extended warranty) at 90K, a crank position sensor at 90K, and my Pano roof need new guide rails (or something like that) at 96K. Other than that, it's been a great ride.
++1 on the 500 V-8, you'll love the extra oomph, the MPG is not that much different (if you stay out of it )

Ya, definitely get the V-8, regret this big time. Also, you get the bigger brake calipers (that you could always paint later ) and you get quad-zone AC (way better than the 320's).

IMO, if you're concerned about power, stay away from the 320 as they're lacking major oomph, the 350's moves really nicely though, of course nothing compares to the feeling of a V8, but to me the Airmatic made it a LANDSLIDE victory for the 350....

I sold my '03 500 sport last month with 94,000 on it. 50,000 of those were mine. It actually was one of the most reliable cars I've had yet in terms of shop time. For the past 2 years of ownership I can't remember that it went to the shop at all besides oil changes.
I just bought an 05 500 sport with 34,000 on it. I hope I get the same experience.

Just hit 40,000 last night, but I'm gonna have my transmission checked out. My uncle said to have them check for glycol. He said to make them replace the entire transmission and flush everything out Glad I bought certified.
