2005 E500 Sport w/ AMG Package
After Start
Looking for a little clarification here. Every morning I leave the dash readout on the setting that shows mileage and mpg since starting for that day. I am trying to figure out why sometimes it accumulates the entire day's mileage for all travel that day and other times it starts over within the day. There must be a way to control that?

yeah.. well... sure. I read it, several times for different reasons. I'd rather throw some things out to the board for better answers since this manual, like most of them, are terribly indexed, organized, cross referenced and unclear. Besides, there is often some setting on these features that is not documented in the manual like how do we set it to a different interval instead of 5 hours? Anyone know?

I've been wondering the same thing myself. Being too lazy to read the user manual, I figured I'd wait for someone else to ask the question, and let him get shelled. LOL

I think Mercedes has the best car manuals available for any car. Completely disagree with them being unorganized, etc.
And to top it off, take any Mercedes car model from the past 30 years. The manuals have been in the same format and style all this time.
