You could of course subscribe to WIS for a day or purchase the W211 service DVD in which you'll find the procedure which lists the special tool required. Mercedes recommends the mechanic get out his old 17 mm offset open end valve adjusting wrench to use to pry the plug wires off the plugs. Then, you'll need a wobble extension plug socket.
And, while you're at it you'll want to look up the procedure for removing the airbox and adjoining hoses.
BTW, last time I checked (couple years ago) these wires were $24 each from Mercedes so 16X24 = $384 for the set. Mercedes doesn't specify a change interval.
