It was represented as a 2006, but turned out production date was 02/2005. To me, seems as if its really a 2005 car, not a 2006, being produced that early in the year.

Now looking through the thread, realizing I might have done better by a grand or two.

Looking at the russia code site, wondering if the 2006 was a misrepresentation? Do you have any suggestions for me to go back to dealer and get them to refund / throw in something to make me whole? Figure I might have some leverage with better biz bureau or worse.

Thoughts?
Using the Russion site:
What was the delivery date ?
What was the production year ( I think its code 80X - x being the model year)

For instance my car had a delivery date of 12/2005
Model year 2006
In service date 05/2006

You are really concerned with in service date and model year. TYHe dealer has to give you that information so that you can utilize your warranty. Any dealer should be able to look that up.

What does your title/registration say? As for the 2 grand, you have to stop shopping once you take delivery. Theres always a bigger, better deal.

Out the door with 37K miles @ $26.5k. Original in service date 5/5/06. So I've got roughly a year to get an extended warranty. ....
Interesting - how much does it cost to get an exteneded warranty on a E350 up to 100K miles? What companies should I contact (or stay away from)?

Usually $1.5K-$2.5K sometimes with dedactable. See terms to make sure no condition like 100k or 5 years whatever comes first unless you drive much.
