AMG CL Wheels on E500

E500 Blk/Blk. I am getting ready for new rims. I can't decide between CL 1 piece (Chrome) or CL-2 piece (Chrome).
CL-1 piece is going to cost me about $4,500
CL-2 piece is going to cost me about $ 6,700
It seems like I'am going to get the same look and I'am not a perfect driver specially when it comes to parking the car.

What do you guys think?

I got these wheels staggered...brand new...with brand new Pirelli staggered...for $3,000 from Globe motorsport in west los angeles. Globe is owned and operated by the same people that run 310 motoring. Ask for Jeff, he'll hook you up with the same deal.

thuglaw,

Since you're in LA why not go to TWS? they will drop it for $500 plus sell you the CL rims for way way less. thewheelsupply.com

BTW I was a set of chrome CL3-piece rims and they looked awesome. 3-piece would be my choice.

I ordered these wheels for my E500 with sports package. 18" AMG Styling V staggered with 245s (front) and 275s (rear).

What do you guys think?

Beng,

when you say sport package, does that mean AMG kit since you're in Canada? Or is it the same sport like in US?

Tezta, currently the Canadian sport package is similar to that in the USA; it is actually the equivalent of Euro Avantgarde and not the AMG sport package.

Still contemplating on whether to go for the AMG aero kit with the 4-pipe exhaust system; maybe later on because I am tired of the AMG front bumper look. Did the same AMG conversion on my C320.

What do you guys think; go or no go?

Saw Jason's E500 with AMG Sport Package

Last week, I met with Eddie of AMG Peformance Group and he showed me Jason's E500 (burgandy/stone) with the AMG aero kit which happened to be in his shop.

The car had 20" Lorinser wheels, chromed headlight trim pieces, lighted door sills and the dual tail pipes (one on each side). Yes, the car has been nicely converted. Jason also had the suspension lowered by approximately 3/4". Looks great!

Too bad I didn't have my digital camera.

Absolutley go for it, while the front end might not look that distinct or attract much attention, the rear is just beautiful

I say go for it too....IMO you can't go wrong with AMG/Lorin aftermarket parts...I'm thinking of putting on the AMG front/rear and sides myself....that or the Brabus pieces...but seeing as how i have AMG wheels on already, I'll most likely go for the AMG kit.

With my discount and trade-in of the OEM 17" 5-spoke alloy wheels/tires; the 18" AMG Styling V staggered wheels/tires will cost me CDN$2,697.42 (approx US$1,726) + applicable taxes.

Please note that I opted for Michelin Pilot Sports A/S tires and not SO3s.

Muhri2, some welding and re-fittting will have to be done to install the AMG 4-pipe exhaust system. Any good muffler shop should be able to do it without problem.

The downside maybe a loss of torque on the bottom end because of less backpressure given the larger diameter exhaust pipes. The final look is really impressive though.
