Is that an aftermarket pulley?

Yes, it was, but we noticed no matter what it was not going to line up with the other pulleys due to extension, so we ordered OEM, the issue with that is that there is no special tool to install it or anything. Do you have any ideas?

There should be a notch in the center hole of the pulley. Normally, the woodruff key (#15) that sits in a cutout on the crankshaft is what aligns and holds the pulley (vibration damper) in place on the crankshaft. But without actually seeing how the pulley is attach, they may be some other alignment mechanism.

Are you missing parts 30 and 35? Or just need help tightening it?

You typically have to remove the starter and install a flywheel locking tool to hold the crankshaft in place while you tighten the crankshaft pulley (vibration damper) bolt. Something like the following:

Careful. I believe the OP has an M276 engine. That tool may not work.

EDIT: Never mind. M276 is also listed for this item elsewhere.

You can access the flywheel from a rubber plug on the bottom of the transmission bell housing (where you can also access the torque converter drain plug). Here is a YouTube video showing the location of the plug, plus a few additional methods to remove the crankshaft pulley:

From the video, it looks like the toothed part of the tool is designed to fit through the hole, and the two pins on the end of the tool will fit in place of the two E bolts.

I was thinking of my M272 TC and that access hole is straight up I think.

I dont even know how to remove my crankshaft pulley, its doesnt have the notches along the inside, instead it looks like a spoked wheel. id probably need a tool like this also.

I’m coming in again on the back end of this, but I believe that you have to remove the starter to use that tool to lock the crankshaft like @TimC300 said. The two pins go into the starter bolt holes and the toothed part goes into the hole left by the starter and engages with the ring gear teeth.

I see, well I tried looking for an easier way, spilled transmission oil everywhere and it was the transmission area thought it was something else, luckily I had to change that anyways, unluckily i didnt want to do that yet. Lol.
okay so where is the starter, is it on the left or right and how to remove it?

It’s been a few days so maybe you’ve already found it. On the M272 I think it’s on the right side held onto the bell housing by 2 eTorx bolts. Remove the battery ground connection before starting. I think the right hand exhaust pipe mounts have to be removed to get access.

Apologies

Apologies for the late replies, been rebuilding this engine, so that wasnt the only thing, also can you share the website and program you guys use to figure out bolts and locations please?
lol the reason I got in this mess was because of that, im assuming the flywheel is the part that i keep missing, should be held to tighten bolt all the way right? Wanna make sure, not trying to break and take apart again.
thank you
