Sport'n New Pipes Baby !
Had my AMG mufflers installed ! Re-piped the E500 to replace the MB resonator with an Xpipe and some free-flow mini resonators. What a difference ! More bottom end torque and O that beautiful sound !
Ed Hanson's muffler service in East county San Diego is the place !
I'll post better pics shortly.

Looks great!
Are those OEM AMG Mufflers? Where did you find it? I'm looking for one to. Anybody selling theirs, let me know. . . PM me please.

See my original post. Google Ed Hansons mufflers in La Mesa. Ed is the best! He has a long history in the custom exhaust biz and is highly regarded as an authority in designing high effiency sytems that are smog legal. Ed was recommended to me by Group 5 Motorsport (Miramar).
as for performance improvement...I haven't run through a full tank of go juice yet, but Ed certainly suggested that I could see a 2-4 mile/gal improvement [Ha ha ha as if I could even keep my foot outta it for that long!] and as I said in my first post... the bottom end definetly improved powerwise.
Sorry but I don't currently have a method of capturing sound bites for those asking. I may have to borrow a camcorder and film it for the fans like Benzorama once did. I don't think the Xpipe did anything for the exhaust note in particular, however the high flow resonators and larger pipe helped to give the AMG muff's a deeper tone than I recalled the E55's that I have driven. Hell even my blonde wife noticed the differnce when I rolled into the garage.

Seriously though....any drone inside the cabin at say 1800-2000 RPM? That's what normally happens on these things when we start removing resonators, cats, etc....

Vid's of the wife? Same! (I'll have to check with her boyfriend)
Nope - no droning at all - that's the wierd thing - I expected it to sound a liitle louder when the guys backed it outta the shop. But to my delight it was the same inside - except when I stomp on it... then she growls like an 8 should!
