Price Increase starting October 1, 2008? Anyone else hear this?

Price Increase starting October 1, 2008? Anyone else hear this?
As I've been in the market for another MB, I was told by my local dealer that all MB cars will be increasing in price 5% starting 10/1/2008.

Anyone else hear this?

Was just at my dealer's today. Didn't see any add-on price increases on the cars they had on the lot. But I heard a similar story; its all based on the Dollar vs EURO.

1 Euro = $1.38 today. Euro peaked in the mid $1.50 range a few months ago.

$1.40894 = 1€ today. Also, it peaked around 1.6xxx

Oct 2nd. no increase so far. It looks like dealer tried to push for fast sale. Price can only go down.

i agree with the state of the economy, i expect some unbelievable deals, but they may not advertise it
