Nav Help
Is this a replacement DVD or your first one? Was it working properly before? Is it a legal original disc or a copy? If it's your first one, you did put it in the NAV drive in the trunk & not in the COMAND unit, right? You don't give much info in your OP.
If you're experienced in this & the disk is inserted correctly its possible you need a software update.

Sorry for the vague post, I installed a new nav drive w/ burnt dvd, in a car which did not previously have navigation. I used procedures from elsewhere on this site to add the truck nav fiber optics to the optical loop then had the dealer activate the nav options with star.
The only thing it does is say navigation activated, please wait or, if I take the disc out and put it back in, it says no disc inserted(boot)... it's a euro.

There have been posts that copied/burned discs don't necessarily work. Plus you have to make sure that the SW in the components is compatible with the NAV disc version.
I'm getting the same message, but the DVD Nav came with the car. I have a US spec 2006 E350, but the DVD is stamped 2008, though it says it's for MY04 - MY08 E-Class. So it should work, right? Is there a system reboot I need? Thx.
