E500 horn issues?

I have recently notice that my horn sounds a bit low. Has anyone encountered issues with their horn? As far as replacing the horn how many are there? I can see 1 that is right in front when opening the hood.

I have read in the past that there are 2, but can't find the post. Would anyone have instructions or pics for locating and replacing the horn if there are actually 2?

My brother has an 04' e500 same as mine with roughly 5k more miles than I have. He is experiencing the same issue with the horn too. Is this a known issue?

Thanks.

Bought 2007 E550 in June CPO. Horn only sounded one "note". Replaced under warranty at 15K miles.

In my case, there was only one horn. It should have had two "notes", but one apparently failed. At least it now sounds like a Mercedes!

Car is a 2007 E550 non-Sport 4-Matic built in Graz, Austria and originally used as a MB Executive Car in the Denver, CO area.

Two horns, only replaceable in pairs see #5 woofer current part A0055426720 and #20 tweeter A0055426920 in diagram. If the horn is not sounding at all, check the front SAM relay A0025421119 found in slot I on driver side in engine compartment.

Horns are working. Thanks for the info once again Konigstiger! I replaced both high tone and low tone. High tone was the easiest to replace being that it is in the front behind the grill. High tone actually had no issues. Issue was with low tone. But decide to replace both anyways. The low tone took some work. I jacked up the driver side and had to remove the bottom plastic covers. Access to the horn was tight, but managed to get it done. It took me a little over an hour to do.

My low horn is not working and I can't find it at all. Can anyone give me a specific location as I've looked all over the driver's side behind the grill to the side of the radiator, etc.
Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving everyone !

Hey! Stop by the store in Farmingdale. I'll give you a bumper sticker that says: "Horn Broken. Watch For Finger". (I'm in town thru Sunday for the Holiday. We can at least look for the horn!)
