Pics of "washer lowering"

Can someone post pics of the "washer lowering method". It sounds easy enough, but I'd like to see what I'm supposed to be doing. (I've done plenty of searching, and I couldn't find a thread with working pics) Thanks!

Does your E320 have the airmatic suspension? It wasn't standard on your model. You must have the airmatic to do the washer lowering.

That's almost a little insulting, haha. Yes, I have the airmatic suspension.

How hard did you look? With one search of "washer", this was the first thread I clicked on:

https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/107267-lower-your-e55-20mm-0-8-80-cents.html

Pay particular attention to post 14.

Also, you are aware of the catastrophic failure that can happen with this mod, right? When you add washers, the amount of thread for the nut to tighten on, are severely limited. And if that nut comes off, at say 65mph, it's gonna be ugly.

That said, I did this mod without any issues for about 6 months.

I would recommend lowering links from www.adjustableairride.com or a RENNtech lowering module.

I actually thought I did a pretty good job! Apparently not!

After looking at those pics, that mod looks kinda sketchy. Thanks for the help!

No sir. I ended up spending the money and lowering it the right way, with the RENNtech ELM.
