Apparently you didn't read the article...
The new what is currently called the CLK will be based on the W212 chassis and will be called an E-something, according to them. The new CLK convertible variant will be called a CLR according to their sources. We haven't seen a two-door based E since 1995.

A c-class 2 door? Hope they don't mess up with this one? I think it would be sick, especially the 63.
Smart to build E coupe instead of clk, saves money in manufacturing. Also heard no more CL, S-coupe again. Going back to the old days.
