i baught oil by my self did an oil change and everything .. but it still says service c exceeded by xxxxx miles how do i get rid of this message?

First of all that indicator is not for OIL CHANGE; it's for service..which is a lot more complex than simple oil change. You need to pull out codes and run them through WIS to get list of all things you need to do. I can guarantee you it's not only oil change. When you are done with all stuff then you reset your service reminder.
If we do bring in the vehicle to the dealer for the oil change and the routine service. Are they performing the services listed on the service manual or do they do more? I'm not a certified mechanic, but I can do most of the services required. Also , for warranty reasons, are they going to say we neglected the service, just because we did not have them do the services?
