I think that you have to get it off by SDS. You should ask the dealer about it.

Or you can read the sticky at the top and try it.

The procedure is in the owner's manual and it shows you step by step to reset the maintenance schedule after you have done it.

First of all that indicator is not for OIL CHANGE; it's for service..which is a lot more complex than simple oil change. You need to pull out codes and run them through WIS to get list of all things you need to do. I can guarantee you it's not only oil change. When you are done with all stuff then you reset your service reminder.

If we do bring in the vehicle to the dealer for the oil change and the routine service. Are they performing the services listed on the service manual or do they do more? I'm not a certified mechanic, but I can do most of the services required. Also , for warranty reasons, are they going to say we neglected the service, just because we did not have them do the services?

If you keep the dated receipts for the oil & filter, you can provide acceptable evidence that it was done. As an added measure, I'd write the milage down on those receipts.
