Rear window defrost not working

Rear window defrost not working
Well, it finally got cool enough down here in Texas for me to need the rear window defrost on my 03 e320 this morning. The switch lights up and cycles off but it does nothing to clear the rear window.
I can't see any obvious breaks in the heating element but it's not heating up the glass in the corners at all. I checked all the fuses and they check out OK. I pulled all the interior panels out of the trunk looking for loose wires but I can't find anything that looks like it connects to the rear glass. All I can find are the aerial wires, one in each of the bottom corners, for the tele aid and radio.
Can anyone tell me where the defrost wire(s) connect to the rear glass? Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You would have to remove the C-pillar panels to reach the rear window defroster wires.
But are you saying the issue is at the corners of the rear window? Since the wiring is from one side to the other, if you had issues it would have to cover a section throughout from the left to the right.

Actually the problem is with the whole rear glass. Not knowing where the connections were, I assumed (yeah, I know) the connections would be on one of the lower corners and that it might be a break in the defroster wire somewhere. I'll see how onerous the c-pillar removal is and give that a shot. Thanks for the assist locating the connectors.
