What kind of numbers are people getting off MSRP on 350's and 550's right now?

well, I've heard of 10-12k off 08's, but was wondering if that applied to the 09's too. Since I'm in a rental car right now I don't have too much patience.

fwiw, I bought a MY09 E350 in early October before the price increase. It came optioned with P2, Parktronic, Pano, leather, trunk close, sills, rear blinds. The MSRP was $63485.00. I purchased it for $56115.00.

I imagine you could do better now (but there is that price increase), depending on the dealer, region, and what's on their floor. I bought mine in SoCal. I probably could have done better, although they didn't seem to want to budge at all (I even walked out.) My time is worth money, too, and it was the car I wanted. So I went for it.

MB may be giving more money back now, if they need to move stuff. But I don't know what dealers are doing in terms of trying to keep floor inventory(?) My dealer seemed to be selling their MY09 allocations okay; the MY08 are another story.

Hope that helps.....

Got $6,500 off a '09 E350 two weeks ago with a MSRP of $56,295. More important was the very low money factor on the lease (.00057), low residual and buy-out of my old lease 5 months early with no penalty.

This in an area without much competition.

Mercedes is Overstocked with 08s and 09s as the LA VPC had to rent several storage lots to put the cars in until the dealers take them...
dealers are over stocked and the Boat keeps bringing More in..No Where to put them.. Several LA/OC dealers go for days without any sales..

A friend in San Pedro says the same for Toyota, Nissan, etc..

And for containers of various goods. Things are piling up right now but a lot of it is apparently the earlier orders/shipping that is now catching up as things are really becoming much slower to move. I'm up in Ventura on Friday and I'm going to stop at Port Hueneme and check out the BMW and Volvo VPC lots.

Isn't the MB VPC in Carson?

Check Edmunds.com for the invoice on the car with options that you're looking at. You should easily be able to buy at dealer invoice less whatever factory-to-dealer incentives Mercedes is offering on that particular model. Edmunds also provides information on the amount of the incentive, if any.

For example, right now, MB is offering $6000 dealer incentives on 2008 E350's through 12/1/08. See link below:

http://www.edmunds.com/incentives/Re...0&popuppage=on

When a dealer sells at invoice, they still make money because there's a dealer holdback (a/k/a "trunk money") that they get from the manufacturer. I think this is in the range of 3% for an E-class.

Why get 08 E350 when you can buy 09 Jaguar XF with 0%? XF has better engine and all imaginable options. Leather is standard.

Clear shows that people prefer to buy less expensive cars, C class shows even grow. I spoke with Audi dealer and was told that cars with 4 cylinder engine sold really fast, when more powerful and expensive stick forever. Car makes should increase production of cheap cars.
