Lowering Springs for 4MATIC W211's GAUGING INTEREST
Hey guys, I have been longing for a a product to lower my W211 4Matic safely. I've come across some options including actually modifying the suspension to using non-4matic springs as another member has done here on the forum. However, I was lucky enough to come across a post from 203
4matic owner that led me to a company called Vogtland Suspension. After inquiring, I found that the W203 4matic guys initiated a group buy to get these made for them. I asked if we could do the same and they agreed. We need 25 people @ $349.00 plus shipping. Now I know that is expensive, but depending on interest, I would honestly be willing to cover atleast the shipping cost for each of you ( I want them that bad) @ 50 people, the prices drops to $290.00. Now I don't expect to get 50 people, but 25 is a possibility. Maybe I can convince them to get the number down to 20 sets, but guys, I need your help! As of right now, do not consider this a group buy, I am only gauging interest here because MBworld has informed me that I can't run the group buy on the website indefinatly, and I would most likely have between 2-3 weeks to let it run and get everyone together. If I do initiate this group buy, I will set up a paypal count and check out webpage to make things easy for everyone. So please, if you have a W211 4matic, consider getting in on this! I think its great we even have the power to comission parts from retailers through use of the boards and the community here. Lets make this happen! I want nothing more than to have a safe way to lower my car that has been tested by reputable suspension company! PM me, speak your piece here, or whatever. Tell your friends! This is really a great opportunity here that we would not otherwise have, so atleast think about! I'm sorry I know I'm basically begging here, but hey, I'm a car nut, like most of you are. I do whatever I can to make it happen. I promise I won't let any of you down if you are willing to go ahead with this. Thanks for your time and reading this way-to-long post.

Any AMG Thats Around..
there was a customer that had either a C or E 4Matic... and i found springs for him.... and we lowered it... it was a european spring. Not usually imported into the US because of the "lack of intrest of US customers for upgrading suspensions of 4Matics"... But i got them direct from over there.... only down side is 4 week wait... price from what i remember was around $300 + shipping. It might of been less but i can check for you in the morning...
you have a W211 350 6cyl 4Matic Sedan?

I'd really be interested obviously but was it not the same company Vogtland that you are talking about? I know they don't currently have W211 4Matic springs which is why I tried to initiate this in the first place. Please let me know hopefully that I'm mistaken and you can get these for me. Thanks

Ha, are you kidding? Of course thats okay, but I have inquired with H&R (atleast North America) and they informed me that they make NO springs for ANY 4matic models. If there is something you know that I don't consider them sold. Please update me asap.

Are the Vogtland springs similar in ride (quality) to Eibach pro-kits or the stiffer H&R Sports? What would be a good matching set of shocks?
If ride quality can be (mostly) maintained, I'd be down for a set

I'm not sure as to the shocks, maybe Koni? From what I've heard, the W203 4matic owners were very happy with the quality of their ride after they installed the spirngs. You can see some of their posts discussing it on the 203 forum. Thanks for your support! Tell your friends so we can make this happen!

Just can't win huh? Sucks but I appreciate your effort. Hopefully they will call back with some good news. Is there a major difference between the wagon and the sedan as far this stuff is concerned? I assume you mean 211 4matic wagon right?

Awesome! Thank you please tell others so we can get this initiated! Again, we need 20-25 orders!
E3504matic Very interested as well.
Thats great! Thanks for your response! Tell anyone else you know who may be interested so we can get this thing moving!
I've been lurking for a while looking for info on lowering my 07 e350 4matic. I think a one inch drop would be ideal. If you put something together, I am in!
I was thinking about the same! They will do it to our specs and everything so we can decide as a group how much we want the springs to adjust the ride height on the car. Honestly, I'm sure it will be worth it, please spread the word!!!! I am determined to get this done.
If you guys know anybody who might even be slightly interested, please don't hesitate we really have NO other options and isn't like any companies are planning production for our cars, it won't happen unless we do this!!!!!!

I refuse to believe that there are only two other people interested in lowering springs for the 4matic! Come on guys!

We have I believe 6 or 7 people total. We can get away with 20 and I would even be willing to knock 40 bucks off of everyones order out of my own pocket, but we need help recruiting. This is really our only option. The car can be lowered ever so slightly by switching around spring pads but the drop is minimal. Please recruit!! We need more people!

okay, so, we aren't getting enough support for this potential group buy. However, I have pleaded my case of woe to Vogtland and they have agreed to take a look at some pictures (which I will be taking tomorrow) of the 08 4Matic suspension and with those they will be able to determine if they have an application for the front or if not, that a front set could be made to accomadate the suspension of the 4matic. If not, they are willing to heat treat the springs which I am not too familiar with but obviously it would yield some type of drop which is what we are looking to achieve. SOOOOOOOOO there is hope! I am pioneering this effort and believe you me, as crazy as I am, this WILL get done, one way or another! I will share ALL information with anyone who is interested as I believe in giving back to the community here for all I've taken! Also, even though I'm sure atleast 90% of 4matic owners have no interest in brake upgrades, we run into the same problem w/ brembo, alcon, ap ect not making 4matic applications. I'm in the process of finding out exactly what can be done to retrofit these seemingly non adaptable applications to the 4matic cars so hopefully I will be able to give some difinitive results on that soon as well. I will update here regularly on both issues so keep an eye out!
