Kenwood Sat Nav etc in W211
Hi there,
I've been quoted £3000 to add Comand / phone iPod etc to my W211 2003 - frankly I don't consider it's really worth it considering the age of the car.
I have found a dealer who will fit a Kenwood Double Din SatNav / Multimedia system for about 1/3 of the cost! By all accounts it's a pretty good system - touch screen nav, digital TV, iPod control built in etc.
Has anybody else gone to the extreme of taking out the Merc Audio system and fitting (I hesitate to say 'upgrading') to a 3rd party system?
I run PAT testing courses in the UK and spend about 15 hours a week in my car. I need to use the phone without getting arrested and being able to watch the news when I'm parked up would be cool!
Thanks

Hi - that looks great. Is that the DNX8220BT model?
Looks like a good buy and doesn't look out of place.
Did you manage to get it hooked up to the steering wheel for volume control and phone etc?
Thanks
