Working a deal on a complete E55 exhaust system from Res back to tips. It needs to be shipped so we need to cut it to facilitate packaging/shipping... Question is, are the E55 pipes post-Resonator the same diameter as my stock E500 pipes post-Resonator or are they 1/4" or so larger...? I'd like to have the seller cut the exhaust so it can be shipped easier but don't want to end up with a Frankenstien-ed version of my stock exhaust and E55 exhaust with couplers/reducers etc. all over the place... I'm thinking about replacing my Resonator with an X-pipe and simply installing the E55 system from the X-pipe back...

 

The E55 pipes are bigger. Can't remember if it's 1/4" or 1/2", but they're definitely bigger.

 

Got a reply from Vadim @ VRP in the E55 posting of the same question. He said E55 pipes are 2.75" and E500 are 2.5" ...
