50,000 miles... Good so far!

Just a friendly post to note that I rolled over the 50k mark this week. Amidst all the postings about poor reliability and broken this-or-that... My W211 has been pretty damn good!

And thanks to all the great posters on this forum, from Barry to Konig to many others... Thanks for all the info and feedback. For all the irritating little things like rattles, loud AC fan when on high, etc, etc... If you can't fix them, at least you know how they work.

Congrats to you. Mine has rolled over 80,000 and only had the : ignition key,SBC braking system, ball joints, Airsuspension,brakes,and door locks changed. More to come I am sure 2003 E500

So I guess I'm not the only one out there with a reliable w211...93k on our '05 cdi and the ONLY unscheduled repairs have been a leaky fuel injector line & an airbag sensor. Other than that, the car has been essentially perfect.

Makes you wonder if the 2010 will be the same way...

I recall back in 2003 that my local dealer said they actually had to send two or three of the first W211s they received back to MB because of electrical issues - they didn't even sell them.

Not sure why those appear after 100k...
