Facelift conversion finally done

Finally finished my facelift conversion. After countless wrong parts, searching for answers, mercedes dealers that lied just to have an answer to a question even though they just didn't know, and who knows how many hours of taking off and on my bumpers, lights, grills.. etc... All that is left is finishing up my audio system and some wheels. Thank you to all that helped answer my questions on this forum.. Don't know what i would have done without help and this site.

Bored so threw in a few pix of my other car. Please gimme any opinions. I'm just happy its almost done..

The fog lights are 8000K Mtec Hids with no error ballasts. At night they match really well with my city lights. And its all really bright.. maybe too bright. I don't use the fog lights much, except when unlocking the car twice to see all the lights, which are leds from city lights, mirror puddle lights, and license plate lights.

Looks good for the most part. The trunk badges are the only thing that is really throwing me. Not a fan of the "S" tails either. As long as you are happy with it, though, it is all good.

The trunk and hood badges are all those "iced out emz" set. I was just bored and wanted something diff.... plus they are shiny The license plate frame is right under my led lights, so they SHINE at night.. kinda cool and um... different heh... The tailights... i havent decided whether i like them more than stock, but i do like them more than the facelift version.. and the reverse bulbs i use are BRIGHT.

Very nice. The grille is nice as well. I just don't like the rear badges and you should get some side marker lights that match your parking lights, that would be sick

Beautiful ride, very nicely done.

Great job! It's a lot of work to get everything together. Thanks for posting the part numbers too. The only things i would change would be the tails and rear wing. The OEM Led's and E63 wing looks much better IMO.

THe front grill is nice (not my cup of tea) but would be better if it didn't have the 3rd emblem on the top portion.

The upgrade is nice but the aftermarket is not doing it for me. Too ricey because of the line down the middle supporting the circle. There are better one I've seen on Ebay that resembles the SL or CLK that IMO looks better.

Did you have to paint them or they come body-colored?

Thumb-up for the awesome effort .

The grill is actually made by Schaetz, and is actually Stock, but what they do is cut into it and mount a Stock star . You can tell its stock by looking at it, and it also has stock part number behind the grill. The fit is great since its the OEM grill, and the only reason i wanted it was for the Star.. kinda miss the star when i put on the OEM grill without it. The only thing i want to do is carbon fiber the star and slats... but i want to match it with a carbon fiber front lip, and carbon rear diffuser. Since i can't find a front lip for this style bumper, i am just keeping it as it is until someone makes one or i make one myself. The only thing i may do is raise it back up a little bit, since it is Very low right now.

I don't like any of the other grills and before i did this conversion i put every grill on the car, and they all just looked... funny. The bumpers were painted to match my car.

That must have been a nightmare to get all those parts together... Nice job... I'm considering swapping my Avante Garde Sport front bumper cover for something else as it looks a little busy but I'm not sure I want to take on the hassle of collecting parts... Seems most local Dealers parts guys aren't too keen on modding and parts beyond ordering basic parts for stock cars...
Good job... Also, I've been looking for Fog lightbulbs that are closer to the color of my bi-Xenons and I'll check into MTEC... Can't deal with the Yellow stock Fogs vs. the white HID's, just doesn't look right to me...

Definately planning on some wheels, just waiting for these tires to go, they are still brand new. Being so Low now though, i think it won't take long. I would like 2007 mirrors, maybe with auto folding if possible, but would not know how to go about doing that? I was going to just do the 03-06 style euro auto folding, with the convex glass, but haven't decided. I'll probly just do a steering wheel and some minor things until more items become readily available. Thanks for all the replys.

Yea, I've perused your website many times hehe. I would get the carbon one right now... but i only wanted carbon wheel if i got the carbon front lip and rear diffuser, along with a few other parts... since i don't know if a front lip will even be made for this bumper, and i am still not sure if i can attempt to sand one down to fit.. I havent fully decided to go carbon instead of birdseye on the wheel.

Talking Almost done with facelift

Thanks for the part numbers!!! Its making it a lot easier for me to do my amg package facelift!!! however the left and right bumper support parts numbers are wrong. I ordered the parts and it wont fit. I hack the s*** out of the support to make it fit but I'm not sure if I'm going to use the hacked brackets.. I looked into epc online and found the parts ... I'll find out 2morow how much they cost and see if I'm going to pinch some pennies...

a 211 880 09 03 : Support Front Inside Left
a 211 880 10 03 : Support Front Inside Right

a 211 885 15 37: Energy-Absorbing Unit Left
a 211 885 07 37: Energy-Absorbing Unit Central Left

a 211 885 08 37: Energy-Absorbing Unit Central Right
a 211 885 16 37: Energy-Absorbing Unit Right

I've got most of the parts I need to finish the amg package facelift.
I just need to order the new support brackets and its coming on. I'm dropping off the bumpers(front and back) and side skirts to get painted this Monday and when I get it back!!! I will be installing the kit!!!

nikkatine: Can I chat with you to ask some questions on how you did yours? Also I would like to know if you had any problems doing it and any tips you might have.. Thanks for listing the part numbers again... Everything else is on the money

Hopefully someone will make one soon. I guess it's a good thing for me right now since I'm dumping a whole lot of money on the car. That's one less thing that I would want....Hopefully they make one by next month.....

NonoTme sorry about the wrong support part numbers.. i guess i didn't double check to see which ones i typed in the post, but yea, they are the supports used on any E63. I ordered so many parts and had so many numbers i guess those just slipped through haha. They are relatively cheap at about 20 bux each though, and usually the dealer will let you trade it back in if they are nice. If you have any questions just PM me or post here i will check it out and help you any way i can.

UncleBenz, i thought you got rid of your car? Yea, i can't find a lip for this bumper, BUT i think the e63 lip will fit, just not SUPER FLUSH at the front where the bumper curves but the E63 doesn't.. but I dunno if i am gonna waste 600 bux to try haha. I am thinking about Re-doing the rear bumper with either the e63 diffuser, or a e55 carbon diffuser, but i wanted to carbon the front and back.. so i guess just the regular e63 diffuser and then add Quad tips. I am also going to get the facelift taillights, led top and bottom, and see about smoking the center clear section. Probably throw some monarch63's on there too.
