"Clanging" noise from engine when cold

Does anyone else get a metallic "clanging" sound from the engine after starting up on cold mornings? I haven't heard this all summer, but now that the weather is cold, I hear it again -- mostly when accelerating from a start after sitting overnight. It seems like it would be hard to duplicate when I bring the car to the dealer (since the car's all warmed up by the time I get there), so I'm trying to get a better idea of what it might be. Thanks.

You can convice your dealer to keep the car overnight and check the noise when cold the next morning.

I may have to do that if it's not making the noise when I get to the dealer. I generally try not the leave the car at the dealer any longer than absolutely necessary.

The 350 engine does this until the oil pressure is built up. It is pretty common, but should only do it for about a second or two when first started.

I also get the same thing. It's a metallic tack...tack....tack while the car warms up and then it goes away.

I have to bring my car in for a numer of issues in the coming days so thank's for reminding me!
