Low beam problem

When I start the engine, 1 out of 3 times the left low beam won´t lift up to the right level so it will only light up about 15 meters in front of the car. The right low beam is always at the right level. It wont get down when I turn the engine off and when I start, it is directly in the right position.
Anyone who knows about this problem and can tell me what to do to fix it?
Regards from Ronny in a very cold place up in the north part of Sweden,

Your description of the problem isn't clear about "left low beam won't "lift" up to the right level"? Perhaps the bulb recepticle has dislodged from the holder. You need to unscrew the coolant tank to move it aside so you can better access the headlight fixture. It has a rubber cover which unscrews and then you can see if the headlight bulb recepticle is properly anchored. Might be best to replace the bulb while you are at it. The bulb receptible is turned counter clockwise to remove it and then you can pull the old bulb out and insert an new one........don't touch the glass bulb itself........dirt or oil from hands can shorten the life of these head light bulbs.

I assume you are referring to the Xenon auto-level testing procedure at startup?

Yes, that´s right. When I start the engine the left one works from time to time and the right one is always in the "up" position. I think there must be something wrong with the autolevel system.
Anyone who have any suggestion what to do to fix this or must I take my car to the local dealer to have it repaired?
