Suspension malfunction

I continue to get the FSS warning for suspension malfunction indicating up arrow on the E500. The car has been to the dealer, "could not find nor duplicate the problem". However this warning comes on usually within a few miles of driving and resets to off after the car is shut off. Restart the alarm / malfunction is not on but does come on shortly after driving. The car height is normal. I suspect a leak in the airsuspension that does not exceed the capability of the air pump.

Are there any suggestions on how to break the deadlock on dealer can't find it / or only fails when I drive it

The car still has 18,000 miles on the warranty and currently my plans are to drive it to total failure then have MB tow it in and find the problem. I really hate the inconvience of having to tow but you bet ya ! I will do it. Any thoughts?

Good information. Last time at the dealer they could find no codes stored.? Service mgr said it was probably the pump and when it failed they would replace it. Does the pump enter a code?

Had a similar issue on my 05 E500 4-matic after lowering the car... Started intermittantly but then Airmatic went out altogether so I took it in... In my cars case, the Tech found a wire in the Airmatic Compressor Harness that had worked itself out of the contact pin shorting the compressor... It was fixed under warranty even with lowering links on the car...

By the way, nice Electron Blue C5 in your avatar... I had a C5 Z06 in the same color for a few years...

It's been a great car. Drove it at Road Atlanta, Tail of the Dragon and local tracks. (not racing but high speed crusing). We have driven across the US in it. I bought the E500 because it was the only 4 dr family car I could find that would closely match the C5 numbers. I was having difficulty going from the C5 to a Lincoln towncar so we bought the E500.

Thanks for the tip on the harness.
