05 E320 Warranty - to get or not to?

Buying a E320 with 53k on it. Should i be getting a extended warranty and if yes what are my best options?

I also pulled all service records from the dealer. Are the operation codes in the service record standard?
example:
Operation code - 32MBZ; Description given as Suspension
Which doesn't help me at all.

Thanks
Rip

Yes - get the best extended warranty you can! If you don't the first time you have to repair anything on the car you will kicking yourself repeatedly in the butt saying "why oh why didn't I buy that warranty?"

I baught one from the dealer I got my car from. It covers the car for 2yr/24,000 miles, which is ok for me since I don't drive as much as I did. It cost a little under 1900 dollars and was the premium plan of the coverage which covers almost everything minus the minor things and ofcourse wear and tear parts like brakes, but does cover them if they fail.

My 05 E500's original 4yr/50K warranty is about to expire in 2 months so I'm looking into extended warranties. Is this a MBZ or aftermarket warranty sold to you by your dealer?

Does anyone know good or bad about www.easycare.com? I was curious since Motortrend has chosen to endorse it.

What year is your car and how many miles did you have on the vehicle when you got this warranty and what was the cost? Is there a deductible? Warranty companies base their rates on these factors along with how many years/miles you are buying on the warranty. I want to get a third party warranty when my MB CPO Extended Warranty expires in Jan 2010so I'm looking around. Another person on this forum recommended Paragon Motor Club but I have gotten a quote yet from them.

03 E500 and Corvette
I would see if you can get a MB warranty. I checked for warranty on my 03 E500 (which is still under cpo warranty for 100,000 miles). The after market wanted $5000 for 24 months of warranty coverage. NUTS on $5G's for 2 yr warranty. So If you still have MB warranty I would use MB extended warranty and do it before yours expires. Just my $.02

My E500 is under factory 4yr/50K warranty until June 2009. Anybody have experience on what Mercedes would charge to extend the warranty another 2 years?
