Engine not starting (E500) ... Please Help

I was driving the car normally , then I stopped the car and turn off the engine , after three hours I start the ignition of the car, I notice the engine is not working! , I asked the recovery to pick the car to the workshop , they informed me that you have problem with the Fuel Pump, So they changed it and the car working well as before, I stopped the car for few days because I have 2nd car, any way today while I was going to drive the car, I notice the same problem repeat it again, I start the engine, the ignition and battery are in good condition! But the engine is not starting, I asked the workshop that the problem is repeat it agine, they said unplug the battery for five mentis and plug it again, I did this but still the problem not fixed, well he said check the fuse no A004 in the rear box left side, I notice its good.
I wonder why this happen , any one can inform me what is the main problem behind this?
My car is E500 model 2003.
I faced this problem last two years but that was from the engine sensors and I replaced it last year.

Do you mean the engine cranks but does not fire? Was it the crankshaft position sensor that was previously changed? Perhaps it has failed another time although two years sounds too soon.

Hello DB,

Thanks for your reply, well the cranksaft position sensor I guess you mean that two sensors L shaped from two side in the engine, yes I changed it last year, because at that time , the engine works after many try of starting, and once it start it never turn off by itself, the case now once i start the ignation the engine is totaly not respond and not working, if it work by chance sometimes it turn off after few seconds by itself ! , I went to the workshop they said its fuel pump , I changed this part which come two pumps from two side, so i drive the car normally, but when i stoped the car for few days, the case repeated again once i start the engine it turn off after a few seconds! i try to start it agine, i didnt get any respond.

I am dispointed that I change the fuel pump which cost me and now I faced the same problem, dose this mean i need to change the fuel pump agine? do you think the fuel pump spoiled agine after not completing few days only?!

I wish someone who faced the same problem if he can help me.

One more issue, at that moment once the man who works in the workshop diagnose the car he notice some fault in the fues box in the rear trunk that need to be changed, I said i will change it in the next visit and asked him if this effect with the fuel pump, he said No,,,!

So what is the matter exactly, I hope someone can help because I dont trust the workshop any more, every time they will ask me to pay for parts as the problem not solved

Note no warning lights or yellow engine appear from the dashbored at all !

Thanks

I would agree that two fuel pump failures is not a logical answer. If you paid to have one replaced and it failed again I would expect them to replace it as warranty.

The real question is it a fuel or ignition question. The CPS will prevent the engine from starting and might be erratic in operation. It sounds like someone needs to read the computer codes to determine what problems are stored in the computer.

Thanks vettdvr,

I wonder why such some workshops asked to change some parts that any not related to the main problems, imagine if they will ask me to change, change , change & change and the problem is not solve, its like your building a new car with the same problem lol.

I will make a visit today to he workshop and inform you the latest and and thinking of your comments as well.

Thanks alot and BRB
