Isn't white, well white in color output?

The difference is that the OEM bulbs is clear with no color emission when lit (relies on the amber lens for color), while the bulbs I bought is silver coated but emits amber when lit. I wanted to maintain the functionality of the side marker. The clear lens assembly does a decent job of reflecting the amber light so in profile it lights up almost the entire length of the side marker BUT again its not as fully bright amber as OEM. Nonetheless its more than satisfactory for me.

Let me look for requested pics.

oh i see!
so the OEM is actually a clear bulb and lights up amber cuz of the OEM amber side marker.

whereas if you put in the clear side marker with the OEM bulb it should light it clear right?

so now in the daytime you will have the clear side markers but at night will still light up amber from the bulb you bought?

thanks for the clarification

Those were my exact thoughts when I first got them...

Yes, its just the little 'things'. Iirc, they just pull out (gently) There are 3 parts to contend with. The wiring harness, the base or holder and the bulb.

Is this hard to do? i havent taken a look at the bulb yet since i replaced the side markers about a month ago. Even then i didnt even look at the bulb assembly i just twisted it off just to remove the side markers.

and Sunny_j,
i have removed them about a bit more then a month ago.

2007 e350 sedan
Hi all, sorry for bringing up a new post, but the front right side marker (aftermarket) has popped out of my 07 e350 sedan. I have read elsewhere the only way they could have been installed on 07 and up is through the wheel well.. if that's so, how could it have popped out. Anyhow, I can't pop it back in. Any thoughts? It's driving me nuts
