Those ///M logos indicate that the parts are from the ///M division. Mercedes with their AMG Sport packages have pieces such as the wheels that have AMG stamped on them as well. However, the badge that goes on the trunk or wherever else indicates the entire car is AMG. Is the E350 AMG tuned? No.

You'd be hard pressed to find a more modded non-AMG W211 than mine. I have many AMG parts on the car, but no AMG badge. Why? Because it's not an AMG. It's that simple. If the car's engine was not crafted by an AMG engineer, then it's not an AMG.

To the OP, you got one hell of a car there, comfortable, quiet, classy, but its no AMG.
If you want to go for the clean look, de-badge, I think that looks great, but we're trying to save you from some guy on the street with a real AMG who takes offense to your AMG badge. Get on an AMG owners bad side on the wrong day and you'll regret it. Lol

1. Putting E55/63 mufflers on your car
2. Painting your roof black to make it look like its pano
3. Facelifting your pre 07 to make it look post 07
4. Putting AMG Wheels on your car
5. De-badging your car
6. Putting an AMG badge on your car
when you think about it, how different are they all, really?
Is someone who paints their white roof black POSING like a dude who puts an AMG badge on his car? Is posing as an AMG the only MB Sin? People do the non-AMG-posing mods cause it makes your car look BETTER. But I think the issue is that putting an AMG badge on your car doesn't make it look any cooler, it just makes you look like a moron.
Anyone with an amg conversion (including myself) has to acknowledge that 99% of the people in this universe don't know the ****ing difference between any of this stuff. So I say go ahead and do whatever you want to you car. And ask yourself why you want an entire forum of strangers have to make you feel O.K with it. lol

While a 350 is a nice car its no 550, and certainly not an AMG. People who know the E Class can look at the car & tell by subtle differences that its not an AMG car. You know it too... So what does the badging do for you? It doesn't fool the enthusiast & it doesn't fool you either. Net gain = Zero.
But if you want to put it on, put it on. There was no reason to ask opinions here. There's a subtle difference between debadging a car and leaving the pedigree of the car up to the viewing public, versus adding a badge that doesn't belong on the car and bragging that the car is, what it is not.
Again, its your car. Do what you feel.

Ex: Today someone cut me off near my house in an "SL55 AMG" (SL550). When he pulled over by his house, I slowed down a little bit and got next to him so he could see a REAL AMG and then I took off. Gotta love the noise from a 63!
