Dealer fixed several problems on my E500
Have about 2500 miles on my E500 with almost all the available options except for heated steering wheel and power trunk. Took it to the dealer yesterday and just picked it up today. They replaced the engine mounts to fix the ticking sound problem well know in this forum. They didn't know about it but I gave them a print out of the thread from this forum which has the service bulletin number. Worked like a charm and they welcomed it. They checked my car for electrical problem. My battery was completely drained a few days ago. Emergency Assistance came and gave me a new battery. Everything is ok with the electrical. Said it must be a bad battery and it is not that uncommon. They also checked and fixed the drive dynamic seats which have been working only intermittently.
The whole experience has not been bad. They gave me a loaner to drive for 2 days, a 230 Kompressor. A nice little car with surprising power and good handling.

Anyway, the Service Bulletin # is SBN P-B-07.00-21D-DTB - good luck!

I took mine in for three items - motor mounts, active ventilated driver seat not working, and alignment off (veering to right). For some reason they were 'not able to duplicate' the alignment issue, so I still veer to the right all the time, but the ticking is fixed...

is the motor mount bulletin only applicable to the E500? i don't hear any ticking in my E320 and i don't recall seeing any posts from other E320 owners.

So two months later when I got the car, wouldn't you know it had the ticking sound... so after 1K miles I got it fixed... and when I picked up the car the service writer said he hoped the S-B fixes the ticking sound because he can't hear any differently!
Well, I can, and I'm happy

Let me know if anyone comes up with the answer to this.

E500 Motor Mounts
I had the motor mounts replaced on my E500 yesterday. The Service Advisor indicated that the original mounts were solid, thus allowing noise to be transmitted to the chassis. He said the replacement mounts are liquid filled to isolate the noise. No "ticking" is now evident.
Has anyone fitted the Brabus Sport Exhaust System to their E500?

To all those whose cars are veering, did the dealers make sure the steering wheel is centered? My car was not tracking properly and I had an alignment performed...no change. Went to a 2nd dealer who said alignment was fine, it just needed the wheel centered. He also said the other dealer should have seen that when he aligned the car. Go figure. :p
