About to buy 2006 or 2007 E350 Sport....

Any advice from you guys? Is there anything in particular I should look for or things to watch out for? I usually hang around the W203 forums but my car is gone now... :-(...got in an accident a couple days ago where I was hit by a Hummer and my car is totaled. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

I advise to get the E500. I bel. the price diff. is not huge. The v8 is simply amazing.

What's your reason on obtaining an E500 over a E550?

The 06 350 are probably going for a lot less than the 07 because of the facelift. Mechanical wise there is not much difference. Exterior wise is the big difference. You actually can get more options on the 06 than the 07.

Ahh...ok. Thanks. I would love to get the E550 with the V8 but I have a budget to stick to and the E550 with a Sport Package just doesn't in my price range.

I spotted an 07 with the Sport Package and Navigation for around 28k with 45,000 miles. Can I still work them down or this the average price that they have been selling for?

Ummm. the obvious - $$$$. One can pick up an E500 over an E350 for not too much more money. Unfortunately, the 550's (which I would love to own), still has a big price differential. (just like E55's).

I strongly urge anyone looking at a E350, to first test drive a CPO E500. I cannot emphasize what an amazing motor that V8 is.

E350 Saks Edition
Go with 2007

You're paying too much for that car. I saw a mint 07 E350 sport with Nav with 22k miles for $27,8k. To be honest, you could more than likely get it for around $27k.

Yeah, i got really lucky. I was on the freeway when it was raining and I spun out and a Hummer ended up hitting me.

Here's what my car looks like now.

Buy a 07 . Quality really improved form 07 on. Plus 07 Es dropped off electronic brakes . Also, the 7 speed transmissions in 07 on are much smoother . E550 >E350 but both are good

I would recommend getting the Pano Roof if you can. It makes such a big difference, and all the passengers have loved it so far.

Granted, depending on your geographical location, the economy around it, and the supply and demand for cars in this price range, car prices can vary greatly from area to area.
Just for reference, I live in Seattle and I just picked up an '07 E350 Sport with Navigation and integrated phone for $28,500 with roughly 24,500 miles, and the warranty not up until July of 2010. I think I got a pretty good deal but again, it varies greatly from city to city.

Agreed -- a 2007 with a pano can't be beat. Pano makes a HUGE difference in appearance, particularly with some colors, like well -- white.

If you can swing an '07, go for it. They really are superb vehicles.
