How do I turn off the Audio Options in Command

I've been through the book, and dadgummit, can't figure how to turn off the display in the command window that has the Bass , Treble, Sound, etc. options. I can access the radio & Sat fine, and even tried power off, but those options on both sides of the command screen won't go away when in radio, SAT or CD mode.

Thanks.

COMAND operator's manual - press "OK" or the "Back" soft key to store settings.

Thanks, and I knew that, for some reason I thought the soft key options would eventually fade out, but guess they stay there. Thanks again.

Do you mean that when simply listening to the radio the soft key lables remain displayed?

Mine do not. MY05 E500. I can, of course, call them up but they go away after a brief time. The only thing that remains on the display is the station number or CD track number.

How embarrassing. I was going off my memory which, I now remember, ain't so good.

The audio soft buttons are always present on mine; Radio, CD, CDC, AUX.

Yep, I thought the same thing

I could have sworn those things would fade away after some brief time, but guess what, they don't. Thanks for not making me the only one that thought that. Maybe MB should think about having them fade out, and replacing them with, say, "shots of the Swedish Bikini team". Nah.......
